Mazumdar Shaw Philanthropy’s gift has been used to endow a Chair at IISc. The fund supports bright, young faculty members who undertake cutting edge research in bioengineering and related areas.
The RI Mazumdar Young Investigator position was instrumental in the establishment of a new line of work in my laboratory that focused on the long term effects of nano- and micro-particles in the body. Without this support, it would have been impossible for us to ask this important but ambitious question.
