Catherine Rosenberg, PhD

Catherine Rosenberg has a deep interest in the positive impact of philanthropy on academic research and scientific innovation. To grow MSP’s philanthropic contribution in the world of science, she helps identify and evaluate initiatives/institutions with the potential to make global impact.

Professor Rosenberg received her Diplome d’Ingénieur from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications de Bretagne, an MS (Computer Science) from the University of California and a Doctorat en Sciences from the Universite de Paris XI. She is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the Canadian Academy of Engineering.

Currently, Professor Rosenberg is the Canada Research Chair in the Future Internet, the Cisco Research Chair in 5G Systems and a Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Canada.

Latha Sharma

Latha Sharma has been with Mazumdar Shaw Philanthropy since 2016, and plays a crucial role in the success of its mission and goals.

As the primary point of contact for MSP, Latha handles all MSP-related communication. She supports the full cycle of MSP's work, from the assessment of initial requests, signing of MOUs and tracking of progress, to completion.

Anupama Narayan Shetty

Dr Anupama Shetty partners with MSP on several projects, across science, academics and social impact. She has over 20 years of experience in varied roles and currently leads CSR initiatives for Biocon Foundation. As a PhD student from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), her work revolved around the strategic change in healthcare organizations, accreditation and safety culture.

Dr Shetty has a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from Mysore University and a Master’s in Hospital Administration from TISS. Her experience as a physician, administrator and researcher has helped shape her perspectives on CSR, to combine a systems-based approach, with a focus on scalability and sustainability of interventions.

Paul C Salins

Dr Paul Salins is MSP’s chief advisor on medical philanthropy, with a focus on patient access. An internationally acclaimed authority in cranio-maxillofacial surgery, Dr Salins has trained and worked across the globe, pioneering several surgical innovations.

A Fellow of the American College of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, Dr Salins’ current research interests are in engineering applications, particularly modelling decision making processes to surgical practice. Dr Salins has helped nurture several medical institutions of repute in India and abroad, and was instrumental in bringing the examinations of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons to India. He is the recipient of many international awards and citations.
