Bangalore Political Action Committee, India

General Corpus Fund

Bangalore Political Action Committee (B.PAC) is a non-partisan citizen’s group that aims to improve governance in Bengaluru and to enhance the quality of life of every Bengalurean.

B.PAC specifically targets integrity and transparency in government; improves the quality of infrastructure in the city; identifies and supports strong candidates for public office; and works towards the creation of a safer city where the rule of law is ensured for all citizens. Guided by the aim of making Bengaluru a world class metropolis, the organisation trains aspiring civic leaders, promotes participatory democracy, woman and child safety, woman empowerment, environment/mobility/heritage protection, and research/advocacy for smarter and effective regulations.

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is the President of B.PAC and has been its guiding force since 2013.

B.PAC stands as a beacon of citizen driven change, achieving milestones that pave the way for a more engaged, resilient and liveable Bengaluru. Our journey is a testament to the potential when a city unites for a shared vision of progress and sustainability. Looking back, I feel proud of the accomplishments that are manifesting a future where every aspect of urban life thrives through active participation and sustainable practices.
